Single of the Day: Fortunes “501s” (2016)

Who doesn’t love a bit of good fortune? Good thing we’ve been blessed with Conor McCabe and Barnaby Matthews aka Fortunes then, because the music they’re making together continues to hypnotise and intrigue. Based in Melbourne, the NZ duo have recently shared their new single “501s” – the first single from their new record (coming in 2017).

Having signed to Future Classic, Fortunes are set to be in some great company moving forward and this is a sweet little jam to kick things off. The synths and harmonies wrap themselves around each other, while the track builds gorgeously.
