Single of the Day: Allan Smithy “Air” (2016)

Allan Smithy had quite the BIGSOUND. Not only did he impress the Brisbane audience, but the Sydney artist came away from the event with a shiny bookings new deal with New World Artists! Ka-ching, mate. Continuing the good momentum, Smithy’s dropped a new single this week in “Air” – another captivating as hell piece of music that we’ve instantly been drawn too.

Written after the Darling Street fire in Rozelle in 2014, “Air” is Smithy’s response to the tragic event and the end result is evocative and poignant. To be featured on his forthcoming EP I See A Palm Tree, “Air” is an excellent release from Smithy and a good sign of where he’s headed next.
