Queens of the Stone Age announce Splendour sideshows (including Darwin!) and mysterious teaser

Queens of the Stone Age, aka “the best rock band on the planet”, have just announced their anticipated Splendour side shows, and the reaction is as immense as you’d expect. The gods amongst men have announced four headline shows across Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Darwin.

Yep. QOTSA are playing in Darwin. This is not a drill. One of the biggest rock bands in the world are headed to the top end – this will be a once in a lifetime gig, playing the Darwin Convention Centre on Sunday 16th July. The question is, will Darwin ever be the same after Josh Homme graces it with his presence?

To cap it off, they’ve released a mysterious teaser on their social media, with the QOTSA logo, captioned ‘COMING TWENTYFIVE’. Does this mean a new album on the way? You’re going to have to be there to find out, tickets are on sale Wednesday 12th April.
