
Playing an energetic set at The Tivoli as part of the Open Season program, SKEGSS returned to Brisbane/ Meanjin on Saturday. Touring their new EP Top Heavy, released this Friday, fans were treated to a mix of new and familiar hits.
Known for their surf-rock sound and gritty vocals, Aussie favourites SKEGSS tore through their discography in a high-energy 90-minute set. With fan favourites like, “Up In The Clouds”, “High Beaming”, “Save It For The Weekend” and “Spring Has Sprung”, their perfectly chaotic set had fans up on shoulders, yelling every lyric, and riding every riff.
Supported by special guests The Buoys, Fool Nelson, and ixaras, the evening showcased the true talent in the current Australian music scene.
As their tour continues, SKEGSS continue to reaffirm their status as one of the country’s most talented rock duo’s.
