Talk about a way to wake up on a Wednesday morning: for another year, the Byron Bay Bluesfest has delivered its first artist announcement and it’s another big’n. Confirmed to perform at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm over the Easter long weekend next April are some of the most important names in contemporary music, including Patti Smith, who will be performing her iconic album Horses with her full live band.
Along with Smith, the likes of The Zac Brown Band, Buddy Guy, Jethro Tull, Bonnie Raitt and The Lumineers are all also Bluesfest-bound for the festival’s huge 28th anniversary event. The first artist announcement for the 2017 event features many debuts from artists who hold definite iconic status around the world and as we know Bluesfest to be at this point in the game, there’s still a whole lot of gold talent to be revealed in coming months.
The festival in 2017 will be held from April 13th through to April 17th, with the multiple ticket packages on offer now on sale to keen punters via Bluesfest’s official website, HERE. The Artist Playing Schedule is available to check out now so head on over to the website and start figuring out which festival ticket is the best for you!
