One Day hosting special screening of Chasing Asylum in Sydney this September

Later on in September, a special screening of Chasing Asylum will be held at Sydney’s Factory Theatre, hosted by the One Day crew. The documentary is indeed a must watch, as it exposes the wide scale impact of Australia’s offshore detention policies. The detention centres established on both Manus Island and in Nauru have seen some horrific events come to light and in this film, footage has been secured from the inside – places that have been notoriously hard for the public to gain access to in any way.

Directed by Eva OrnerChasing Asylum is in no way sugar coated; confronting, harsh and provocative, this is a definite must see. All proceeds from the screening in Sydney will be going towards the Refugee Advice and Casework Service, supporting their work in advocating for asylum seekers.

Rally your mates and get involved in this one; the screening is happening on September 21st from 7pm. Adit and Solo from One Day explain their support of the cause below, but head HERE to buy your tickets!

Chasing Asylum is rated MA15+
