‘Occupy Kings Cross’ movement spurred on by cancellation of Keep Sydney Open rally

The Keep Sydney Open rally originally scheduled to be commencing tomorrow (complete with Flight Facilities DJing) in Kings Cross has been cancelled by the NSW Government and the Police Commissioner – in the wake of Mike Baird‘s resigning from his role this week, it would have been a perfect time to hit the streets and protest the crippling lock out laws once more.

Unfortunately, this is not to be the case.

However, instead of being discouraged from getting out and amongst it tomorrow evening, do the opposite. A new Facebook Event for ‘Occupy Kings Cross’ has popped up online hosted by ADM (Australian Dance Music), encouraging everyone hit up venues throughout the Cross to get behind the venues, DJs and artists who call the hub home every night and weekend.

Check out the event page here and show your support by getting out and about from 8pm, regardless.
