Noah Kahan announces The Great Divide Australian tour

Noah Kahn

Vermont-born singer-songwriter Noah Kahan is heading back to Australia later this year, locking in four arena shows as part of his upcoming The Great Divide Tour and fans are already gearing up to win the Ticketek war.

The announcement comes just over two weeks before his highly-anticipated fourth studio album, The Great Divide– out April 24th.

Kahan will kick the tour off in Melbourne, playing two nights on September 26 and 27, before making his way to Sydney for back-to-back shows on October 2 and 3. After that, he’ll continue on to New Zealand. There’s a noticeable hap between Melbourne and Sydney shows, which hasn’t gone unnoticed. Given how quickly his last visit sold out, there’s already chatter about whether more shows could be added.

His 2024 Stick Season tour stands out to me as one of the best shows I’ve attended to date. Playing Melbourne’s Sidney-Myer Music Bowl, Kahan did an impromptu solo, acoustic set as his band got stuck in the USA due to travel delays. What followed was a beautifully intimate show, mixed with humour and vulnerability. It made it feel deeply personal, even in a sold-put venue.

Since then, things have gotten even more wild for Kahan. The release of Stick Season skyrocketed him from a rising indie-folk artist to a global name, recently selling out a massive stadium tour across North America with over one million tickets sold. It certainly makes these upcoming Aussie shows feel intimate by comparison, despite still being held in large arenas. If anything, it’s a bit of a surprise he hasn’t gone even bigger with the venues here.

Adding to the excitement, Khan is set to release a documentary, Noah Kahan: Out Of Body, which will drop on Netflix on April 13. The film follows his return to his hometown in Vermont after the whirlwind success of the Stick Season tour, offering an insight into how he’s handling the sudden jump to global fame.

With new music so close we can almost taste it, and a fanbase that’s grown rapidly over the last two years (and is more than willing to fight for a ticket), this tour is another incredible addition to an already booming summer concert season here in Australia.

These days, getting tickets to a big show feels like running a marathon- IYKYK. To give yourself a chance, make sure you sign up to the Artist Presale HERE. The artist presale will start on April 15 local time, followed by the general public sale on April 17th at 1pm local time.
