Laura Imbruglia presents brand new single “Awoooh!”, from her forthcoming third album (due June 2013 – Ready Freddie Records/MGM).
Channeling Cheap Trick, T-Rex & Warren Zevon, Laura continues her decade-long trend of sounding unlike any other female artist around. Backed by her smokin’ Melbournian band (feat. members of Smallgoods, Ground Components & Midnight Woolf), and featuring special guest Seja Vogel (Regurgitator) on keys, Laura casually offers up some pure shimmering ear candy.
The accompanying music video is also a sight to behold. Shot on location in Prahran’s iconic onesixone nightclub, it documents unusual love via a Saturday Night Fever/Teen Wolf/Thriller concept. Directed by Karl Siemon (The Pictures, Even) and renowned theatre director Stephen Nicolazzo (Psycho Beach Party), and featuring a cast of Melbourne’s finest young actors, a 14 piece dance troupe, and Laura as you’ve never seen her before…it’s…just…watch it!
