Music Video of the Day: The Gooch Palms “Don’t Look Me Up” (2016)

The Gooch Palms have a penchant for making music that is damn near impossible not to have in your head for days after. Latest single “Don’t Look Me Up” is just one of those nuggets from Introverted Extroverts that ends up bouncing around long after the song itself has finished – we’re not mad about it either.

Today, we’ve been digging the Novocastrian duo’s music video for the single; a vibrantly animated outing made by Leroy and Kat themselves. While the song itself is pretty much a call out to be left alone, the music and the video are so bouncy and bright that you’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Obviously taking a leaf from the album’s 8-bit style artwork, The Gooch Palms extended the styling to the animation of their new music video, filming and editing the final result themselves.

Check it out below and see the band return to Australia for a headline tour all their own this weekend!
