Music Video of the Day: Chris Watts “Let Go” (2016)

Chris Watts builds on the impressive amount of momentum surrounding his self-titled debut album with the release of the music video for “Let Go”. A slice of pop goodness, even if you’re not a massive pop fan, you’ll be sucked into this one, so just embrace it.

The music video itself is crisp, vibrant and well-shot and lines up well with the pace of the music itself. The vibe remains light and easy going; the idea behind the visuals isn’t a complicated one, but it doesn’t need to be. I love the colour of it all, the contrasts between the pastels and the yellows agains the black and white of the studio set up; the hand claps and shots of Watts singing quickly cut in to sequence. It’s a fun watch for a fun tune – keep an eye out for Chris this year, plenty of great things to come!
