Music Video of the Day: Allan Smithy “Air” (2016)

Sydney’s Allan Smithy released his debut EP I See A Palm Tree on Friday, a long awaited release from an artist we’ve been loving hearing from in 2016. Today, his music video for single “Air” is one most definitely on our radar, dropping ahead of his east coast tour.

Linking up with Paste Studios and director Edmund Renew (also behind the visuals for “The Streets” and “Four Letter Reason”), the music video follows Smithy and the female lead through an emotionally driven storyline where he believes he has lost her. Taking him in and out of water, the pressure of the situation is delivered with impatience, while the song weaves in and through the music video beautifully.
