Hilltop Hoods

Hilltop Hoods finished their successful Australian The Show Business Tour in hometown Adelaide at a sold-out Entertainment Centre on Saturday night. The mood was one of excitement and anticipation.

After DJ Total Eclipse warmed up the crowd as they filled the arena, followed by singer Elsy Wameyo. With her five-piece backing band she had a lively and refreshing honesty about her. A couple of the highlights were when the audience joined in on a song, and when she sang a love song in her native Kenyan language.

A. B. Orginal burst onto the stage next with DJ Total Eclipse also performing. Again, the performance was nothing short of adrenaline and fun, familiar to the hometown crowd. The enjoyment was infectious.

But it was Hilltop Hoods who the crowd were here to see. The curtain dropped to a casting stage with DJ Debris holding fort and musicians to boost the familiar tunes. Frontmen MC’s Suffa and Pressure know their audience and know how to get the best from them. There was quite a mixture of old fans and first-time concert-goers but the sold-out stadium was rocking to the core. It was a hot and sweaty mess with songs from across the catalogue of albums. It was certainly a show to add to the list of top shows to have seen.

John was there to bring you these images.
