Letting Up Despite Great Faults release first new music in two years

This dream-pop trio from California are back with new single “Starlet”, a hazy, 80’s tinged number from their upcoming EP Alexander Devotion, due February 10th.

Letting Up Despite Great Faults have had a prolific career despite their recent hiatus, producing three studio albums and a number of EP’s since their beginnings in 2006. However, on choosing to make another EP instead of a fourth album, vocalist Mike Lee explains, “There’s a little more experimental feeling, or freer approach to songwriting. I hadn’t written anything in maybe a year so I felt like there was a lot of rust to shake off but also I wanted to push myself to do new things. I think an EP was a great mindset for me to explore who I needed to be.”

The new single is everything we love about this band, feathery vocals, low-fi guitars and the addition of some nostalgic, flash-back synths. Check out the video below!
