If you’ve been holding off buying tickets to the Mundi Mundi Bash, Australia’s biggest outback music festival, then don’t spend too long thinking about it. The event has almost sold out, with 95% of tickets already sold.
This year’s sister event, The Big Red Bash had to cancel due to the extraordinary floods in central Australia, but fear not, the roads around Broken Hill will be passable no matter what.
The lineup is incredible this year, with The Teskey Brothers, Boy and Bear, Jon Stevens, John Butler and many more taking the stage under the outback stars. Beyond the music, there is a new prelude event, LIGHTFEST, in Broken Hill in the lead-up week, featuring a large-scale drone show and street-level activations. This means that visitors can take their time and explore some of the region before the show.
While most campers drive and camp in groups, there are other options, such as flights and train transport, available to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash. The best thing is that campers can bring their own food and alcohol (although no glass allowed) and campfires. It’s a great family and dog-friendly atmosphere in the arena each day, as well as fun activities and events such as the Mundi Undie Run! If you want a taste, check out our coverage from last year.
