Kraftwerk Announce Australian and New Zealand Tour November/December 2023

Kraftwerk the pioneers of electro, have announced headline dates for Australia and New Zealand this November/December 2023.

Kraftwerk founder Ralf Huetter and his team continue to show outstanding innovation, illustrating their belief in the respective contributions of both man and machine. They emerged in 1970 as part of West Germany’s krautrock and continued to experiment with vocoders, synthesisers and drum machines. They inspired a future generation of musicians.

Their contributions and trail-blazing path have had them justly rewarded. In 2014 Ralf Huetter and his former partner were honoured with the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. And in October 2021 Kraftwerk were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Their compositions, using innovative techniques, synthetic voices and computerised rhythms, have had a major international influence across an entire range of music genres: from electro to hip hop, from techno to synth-pop.

Expect to hear their classics from the 1970s through to the 1980s including Autobahn, The Robot, Trans Europe Express and their radio friendly hit The Model.

Kraftwerk last played in 2013 Vivid Live in spectacular fashion at the Sydney Opera House. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see these trail blazers of electronica.
