KALEO return to Australia for the Way Down Under We Go Tour in 2027

We fell in love with KALEO when they made their Australian debut at Bluesfest back in 2016. It was hard not to. Frontman JJ Julius Son‘s enormous, booming voice seemed purpose-built for a festival stage, while the Icelandic band’s muscular blend of blues, rock, and folk made them one of the festival’s discoveries.  They’ve remained firmly on our must-see list ever since.

So we’re absolutely stoked to see KALEO heading back our way in February 2027, with their Way Down Under We Go Tour taking in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The tour arrives as KALEO celebrate the tenth anniversary of their breakthrough album, A/B. Released in 2016, the record introduced the band to a huge international audience through songs including “Way Down We Go”, “All The Pretty Girls” and “No Good”.

“Way Down We Go” has racked up close to four billion streams worldwide, while KALEO’s catalogue has now passed six billion global streams and earned more than 70 Gold, Platinum and Diamond certifications.

A decade on, the band is still at the top of their game. Their fourth studio album, Mixed Emotions, arrived in 2025, while June this year saw the release of the A/B 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. The upcoming Australian shows will remind us how brilliant that album is, and  is a golden opportunity to appreciate their latest work, which is just as captivating.

Grab yourself a ticket – we can’t wait.
