Joey Bada$$ confirms Australian return for Sugar Mountain 2018

Is it Sugar Mountain time yet? Well, no, there’s still a few months to go until the eclectic music and arts festival descends on the Victorian College of the Arts, but the festival organisers were sitting on a line up too hot to keep under wraps.

Bringing in this tasty line up is the return of one of our favourite hip hop names, Joey Bada$$, who we last saw on New Year’s Eve 2015 at the Falls Festival. As it stands, his 2017 album ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ is one of our fave hip hop releases this year, so we’re keen to see it come to life in Melbourne early next year.

Throw Australian favourites Cut Copy and Beaches into the mix alongside burgeoning breakthrough artists including Jamila WoodsJ Hus and our own Stella Donnelly and you’ve got a pretty tasty line up already brewing. Throwing focus over to the Sugar Mountain Art line up, there are a wide range of collaborations and performances locked in from the likes of Kalif Diouf (Le1f), Amrita HepiTristan Jalleh and Hiroyasu Tsuri.

Returning to Sugar Mountain this year are both SENSORY and the Boiler Room, making this an experience long time festival fans can revel in, while first timers can attack eagerly. Tickets are set to increase in price tomorrow, so best best is to get in now for their first day only price of $109 – here.
