Jinja Safari announce the Locked By Land national tour for November

Jinja Safari are once again chasing a little mischief around the country and are calling upon their nation-wide friends to help them find it. Just months after selling out virtually every nook and cranny of their “Mermaids & Other Sirens” tour, Jinja Safari are please to announce the “Locked By Land” tour – an adventure that will see them run amok across this great land in November.

“Locked By Land” is the latest offering from Jinja Safari; a collection of what they have achieved to date and then some. And those achievements are big.
In the eighteen months since their inception, Jinja Safari have trekked through forest shows, pub gigs and national supports with the likes of Boy & Bear and Art vs Science. They have also taken the stage at major festivals (including Big Day Out, Falls Festival, Good Vibrations and Splendour In The Grass – twice) and sold out their owns shows multiple times over.

They released two EPs, won over radio airwaves with singles such and ‘Peter Pan’, ‘Hiccups’ and ‘Mermaids’ and most of all introduced Australia to a Safari-style live show.

When they hit the road to launch “Locked By Land” Jinja Safari will be riding on the strength of their triumphs in the last eighteen months and will be looking to their every-growing army of loyal ‘Safarians’ in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Wollongong and Byron Bay to help celebrate. Fans under 18 haven’t been overlooked either, with Sydney’s Metro show and Adelaide’s Uni Bar show open to all ages.

The Cooperative Music release will not only see all of Jinja Safari’s recordings to date wrapped up in one tidy bundle. “Locked By Land” will also hold a few new tracks and some bonus material (including remixes by Sydney’s Fishing and Melbourne’s Butcher Blades). They are the first signing to the Australian arm of Cooperative Music, a legendary UK label that are responsible for Pheonix, Bloc Party and Fleet Foxes to name a few.

It doesn’t take long for the crowd to be won over by Jinja Safari on stage. The beat of the drum, a room full of a thousand smiles and young, able gentlemen haphazardly climbing speaker stacks: Jinja Safari know the formula to a good time and they use it willingly. This Spring expect nothing less, with Jinja Safari looking to bring everything they’ve got to these shows.
Jinja Safari’s “Locked By Land” will be out via Cooperative Music on October 28. Their “Locked By Land” tour is on sale now.
