Interview: Catching up with Jen & Sam to chat Ball Park Music’s Good Mood

Ahead of the release of their fifth studio album, Sam Cromack and Jen Boyce of Ball Park Music joined us at Young Henrys in Sydney to chat about the process behind Good Mood and the lead up to its release (it’s out tomorrow!).

“I really feel like this is one where everything we’ve learned has been channelled into one spot.” Cromack comments. “I think that with the previous record, we really started to explore how much of a rock band we were; we loosened the grip on how strict we were with how rocky we could be. Previously, we’d really seen ourselves as ‘indie-pop’…we definitely started to show our rock side a bit more on the last album but with this one, I feel like we were able to mix that with the focused pop of our earlier records.”
