Flight of the Conchords reuniting for first live performance in three years at the Newport Folk Festival

It’s officially Business Time. After three years of waiting, promises and rumours, Flight of the Conchords are returning to the stage for one massive set at this year’s Newport Folk Festival. That’s right, Jermaine and Bret will be bringing the boom times through to the iconic event which is already featuring the likes of Father John MistyRay Lamontagne, Raury and Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats.

The Conchords are set to headline the Friday night bill of the festival, their first show together since  2013’s Funny or Die Oddball Festival. No other tour announcements have been made by the Conchords but in terms of getting themselves back on the radar as the fourth most popular guitar-based, digi-bongo, acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk do, hitting up Newport Folk is probably one of the best ways to do it.

Hopefully Murray can come through with the goods for them.

The Newport Folk Festival runs from July 22nd-24th in Rhode Island.
