Exclusive Video Premiere: Laura Adeline “As I See” (2025)

Melbourne-based R&B singer-songwriter Laura Adeline continues to impress with her silky-smooth delivery and bountiful feel-good vibes. She has mastered the art of finding strength from the most vulnerable of times. Laura has taken grief and betrayal and turned them into a gorgeous, breezy, uplifting salve—the irresistible “As I See”—which will be released this Friday. We are thrilled to have the premiere of the video for this fabulous new track.

The song came from a hard time, as Laura explains: ‘As I See’ came from a hurt, wounded place, but to put the feelings into words and fight back against how I was made to feel makes releasing this song cathartic.”.

You can sense a feeling of betrayal, along with the hurt and sadness that result. This is no sad banger though. The song flows effortlessly, weaving together soulful vocals, mesmerising rhythms, and delicate layers of sound. Laura has the innate ability to mine this sadness and turn it into a celebratory, uplifting reclamation. It’s sultry, defiant and alluring.

The video is lo-fi, showing that sometimes you don’t need fancy gimmicks or overprocessing. It was filmed on Laura’s digicam, and leaves us in no doubt that Laura has come out the other side of this betrayal, and is doing just fine. She says, “Creating a music video that shows me unfiltered, comfortable and gleeful was the best way for me to do that.”

We’ve been fans of Laura’s music since we premiered her single “Curbside” in October last year. With just a handful of tracks released so far, we’re hopeful for a deluge in 2026! She brought “As I See” to life in the studio with long-time collaborator and producer Jarrod Jeremiah.
