Rising Australian duo Mistor Co. have gone large in “You’ve Got My Love”, an absolute belter of a gospel tune, featuring the powerhouse vocals of Ambraya and the spellbinding HALO Vocal Ensemble. We’re thrilled to be premiering the track ahead of its release on Thursday.
The duo is comprised of Connor and Oscar Absolum, who co-wrote the track with Ambraya. “You’ve Got My Love” is energising modern pop, uplifting gospel soul with lashings of feel-good positivity. The electrifying refrain of “Even if it’s tough, you know you’ve got my love” hits all the right notes, in every sense.
“This song is a love letter – not just to each other, but to the voices, the communities, and the spaces in Melbourne that have shaped us,” says MisterCo. “Collaborating with Ambraya and HALO brought a sacred energy to the track. It felt like we were honouring something bigger than ourselves.”
The vocals hit hard – Ambraya can hit the big notes, Connor and Oscar’s vocals are silky smooth, and the choir is totally fabulous. They are complemented beautifully by the band. Some sweet guitars, a killer horn trio, funky bass and gospel-y keys are dynamite.
The duo released their debut LP, On This Journey Vol 1, last year, and are currently working on an upcoming EP, Homegrown. This is one to look forward to.
