We have the exclusive single premiere of “As I Go” from singer/songwriter Little Fox. Little Fox is the moniker for Sydney singer-songwriter Simone Macarounas. Little Fox has recently started to release music again, after making a splash in the local scene back in 2012 with the release of her debut single “Blood and Dust”.
It’s a welcome return too, with “As I Go” having swirling emotive vocals with some nice pianos driving it along. It builds with drums, backing vocals and more thrown into the mix, but it’s the beautiful vocals of Little Fox which captivate on this journey of inward-reflection and acceptance. Lovers of Sufjan Stevens should dig this.
Little Fox explained “It’s a song about failed expectations and a mourning for the parts of you that get forgotten about as you go through life.” The song was produced by Oscar Oshara.
This is the second single from her upcoming EP. It follows on from the first single, “Wild Ones’ which was released back in May. The EP promises to cover the themes of death, tragedy and self-sacrifice.
