Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Low Dive “Common People” (2017)

For some well crafted dream pop sounds out of Brisbane, look no further than the talents of Low Dive. The duo have been together only eight months but they haven’t wasted any time at all in bringing different sonic influences and personal tastes together in presenting us with a kicking debut single in “Common People”.

Taking pages from the books of Warpaint and Beach House, Low Dive represent an intriguing and hypnotic wave of new music coming out of the east coast – a trip we’re glad to be taken on. Melodies are delicately woven through textured synth and percussion loops, while the production stands out as being sophisticated and lush.

Today, we premiere the official music video for “Common People”. Produced and directed by Steefan Van Jaarsveld back in April, we get a hazy traipse through Brisbane as we follow figures from home out to Jet Black Cat Records and The End. A solid debut offering, check “Common People” out below.

Low Dive launch “Common People” in Brisbane on June 29th at The Foundry, supported by Pool Shop and McKisko. Stay up to date with the band here.
