Exclusive Music Video Premiere: Jim Lawrie “Lost on Earth” (2017)

With his 2015 debut album Eons, Jim Lawrie was quick to establish himself as a songwriter and performer who needed to be on more music fans’ radars around the country. Bringing together some lovely folk tendencies with classic rock sensibilities that has proven to resonate so well with live audiences in particular, Jim Lawrie’s music generated the acclaim as some would have expected upon their first listen of Eons.

Fast forward to 2017, where Lawrie has dealt out his latest album, Slacker of the Year. Continuing to play with melody and fuse warmth in his songwriting with catchy instrumentation, the Melbourne musician has begun this process of enchanting and captivating listeners once more,

His single “Lost on Earth” is a great example of his writing talents while the music video, which can be viewed below, is also a great watch. Directed and produced by James Ruse, “Lost on Earth” constructs its narrative well from the onset and draws the viewer in. Without giving much away – hit play below!
