R&B sensation August Alsina has released two brand new songs ahead of his upcoming album DRUGS. Alsina dropped the first song earlier this month, also entitled “Drugs”, supported by an inviting visual exuding sexy, tropical vibes. He then followed with the soulful single “Wait”, switching to an indoor location this time but retaining the same creative and elegant themes.
The platinum selling singer songwriter from New Orleans has been consistently putting out quality tunes since his 2013 EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun that was followed by albums Testimony (2014) and This Thing Called Life (2015). Last year he featured on the DJ Khaled hit “Do You Mind.”
While Alsina’s poignant and hip hop fused anthems are steeped in the reality of his experience of life on the streets, his music remained ever hopeful for better days that may have finally come to fruition on his third album.
