THE WINTER GYPSY

Adelaide folk group The Winter Gypsy have announced the release of their debut EP, Page I, to be released on August 5th! The six-piece have released their new single from it in “Took Me By”, a song that has already gotten much praise from triple j. The EP has been in the works since 2012, definitely a long time coming.

RESIDUAL

Haunt is the new EP from Melbourne alt-rockers, Residual. Released on August 26th, Haunt is the result of the band’s work with producer Malcolm Besley (City Calm Down) at the famous Sing Sing Studios. It’s the first release since Residual’s signing to Sydney management company ArrowAgency – you can pre-order the EP on iTunes.

ROOTS MANUVA

Roots Manuva’s sixth studio album Bleeds is being repackaged for a special deluxe edition, to be released via August 19th.Released via Big Dada/Inertia Music, the album’s special edition features production from Switch, Adrian Sherwood and Rodney Smith, with 10 brand new tunes and remixes.

ELLA HOOPER

Melbourne favourite Ella Hooper will be releasing her much-anticipated double EP Venom/New Magic on July 22nd. Produced by Robin Waters, with additional instrumentation by Mads Davey and Waters too, the EPs were recorded in a 100 year old church in Violet Town, plus a garage in Preston.

FEEDER

British rock duo Feeder are set to release their ninth studio album in All Bright Electric on September 30th, their first since 2012’s Generation Freakshow. Feeder have enjoyed 25 Top 40 hits since their debut EP Swim was received extremely well back in 1996. The band also announced a stack of international tour dates to surround the album’s release, hyping fans with their reinvigorated energy.

PIXIES

Iconic band Pixies have announced their long-awaited new album in Head Carrier, their second since their official reunion. Released on September 30th via Pixiesmusic/Play It Again Sam, the 12 track album was producer by Tom Dalgerty (Royal Blood) and was recorded at Rak Studios in London this year. The album can be pre-ordered digitally on iTunes.
