Album News Weekly: 21st October 2015

In This Issue: This week we say farewell to surf pop legends Loon Lake while also welcome a bunch of debuts and new releases by artists from our own backyard to Canada, check it out!

Loon Lake

Loon Lake have their last ever album Low Res released independently today. Fans can pay what they want for the album with the band encouraging people to rip it, copy it, sell it, share it. “We just want people to hear it. It’s our way of saying thanks to all the fans for such great support.

Seaway

Toronto pop-punk band Seaway has announced they’ll be releasing their second album, Colour Blind, on October 23rd via Pure Noise Records/ Sony Music Australia.

MAPLES

Gabby Huber (AKA MAPLES) presents her debut, self-produced album Two Worlds through Dream Gold/MGM, due for release 23rd October.

Joanna Newsom

Joanna Newsom will be releasing her new album Divers via SPUNK Records on October 23rd. Check out “Sapokanikan” here:

SayWeCanFly

SayWeCanFly, one-man acoustic act Braden Barrie from Lindsay, Ontario. The 20-year-old musician has announced his first EP with Epitaph Records. The Darling EP will be released on October 23rd.

Tymon Dogg

Alt-folk stalwart Tymon Dogg returns with a new album Made of Light, which will be released on October 21st 2015 through Thin Man Music.

Dan Parsons

Dan Parsons returns with his third album Valleywood, released yesterday October 20th. Parsons will head off on a run of dates through October and November where fans will get their first taste of his most emotionally direct album to date.

Mailer Daemon

Australian artist Mailer Daemon will officially release the Ronin 2 LP on the 23rd October 2015 via MGM, combining alternative Hip Hop, post trap, grime and bass music.

Ganbaru
