A special Coachella documentary is being released to help with the FOMO

Although legendary festival Coachella may not be around for its usual April timestamp, an important part of the event’s history will still be taking place this month.

Postponed until October, due to COVID-19, those with tickets to the annual pilgrimage may have to wait a few more months before giving themselves over to what many consider to be the world’s most renowned concert. But that doesn’t mean no one can experience the spirit of Coachella as early as next week.

YouTube Original will be releasing a special Coachella: 20 Years In The Desert documentary for people who want to live through the event’s storied history. Releasing on 11th April, the feature will track the growth of the festival as well as reveal unreleased footage and behind-the-scenes looks at the phenomenon.

Of course, artists will make up a big part of the documentary, with interviews with stars like Billie Eilish, Kanye West, Daft Punk, Bjork, Rage Against the Machine and Ice Cube. The festival’s most iconic performances will also be highlighted, bringing the greatest hits of Coachella straight to your living room.

This year’s Coachella festival is slated to roll out on the weekends of 9-11 and 16-18 October.
