Ubisoft announce Assassin’s Creed Challenge in Sydney on October 5th and 6th

Ubisoft Australia have today announced that Sydney will experience the Assassin’s Creed Challenge this October. Coming to Metcalfe Park on the 5th and 6th of October, the challenge will celebrate the release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Oct 5th), featuring a full size parkour course with obstacles inspired by the moves of a master assassin.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in six different challenges, achieving similar stunts to those performed in the game. Designed to replicate the setting of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, challengers will feel as though they have stepped back in time to Ancient Greece. Fans will be running, swinging, climbing and balancing their way through daring obstacles, ruins and statues. The final and most audacious obstacle, aptly named the ‘Leap of Faith’, will see participants perform one of the games most iconic moves, off a seven metre platform. Each contestant who completes the course will receive a limited edition Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Spartan Helmet.

Managing Director of Ubisoft Australia said “an Assassin’s Creed Obstacle course has been one of the most sought after requests by not only the Assassin’s Creed Community, but all Australian gamers.”

Fans will be able to play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on Microsoft Xbox One X consoles at the challenge, in a dedicated gaming area.

Ubisoft Australia are also giving attendees the chance to win one of three custom Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Xbox One X Consoles for best photo, best video and best cosplay. To enter, participants will need to upload their photo to Instagram with the hashtag #AssassinsCreedChallenge on October 5 and 6.

The event will be open to the public on Friday, October 5, from 10 am – 5pm, and Saturday, October 6, from 9am – 5pm, and will also feature cosplay and food trucks.
