Rockstar updates their logo ahead of possible announcement, internet goes crazy

Could Rockstar be about to announce a sequel to Red Dead Redemption? The Grand Theft Auto developer took their their Twitter account this morning to post the image in the header above, seemingly a teaser for things to come.

The tweet, embedded above, coincides with a new splash page at the official Rockstar website. The logical conclusion based on all that red they’re throwing around seems to be a Red Dead Redemption-related announcement, although we haven’t ruled out something entirely new (it could even be an HD remaster of RDR so please try to manage your expectations accordingly). This is all utter speculation on our part because its literally just a picture of the company logo.

Rockstar are known for being very secretive, only revealing new titles when they feel the time is right. Grand Theft Auto V was announced via the developer’s Twitter account with the hashtag #GTAV and a link to their website. A trailer followed soon after.

Whatever they’re up to with this logo image, it seems Rockstar may have something they want to talk about. Hopefully they decide to speak up soon, because I’m so excited I’ve just wrung four paragraphs out of a logo update.
