PSX16: Wipeout: Omega Collection revives hover racing, the late 90’s

You have not actually fallen into a timewarp and gotten stuck in 1998. Futuristic racing franchise Wipeout has lain dormant for some time now, but is being revived on PlayStation 4 with a remastered anthology called Wipeout: Omega Collection.

The announcement trailer shows off three games — 2008’s Wipeout HD, 2009’s expansion Wipeout HD Fury and 2012’s Vita-only Wipeout 2048.

This will be the franchise’s first time out on PS4, and it’s first new release in four years. No word yet on any other games from the series making a return.

More details as they come to hand.
