PSX16: Naughty Dog pulls wildly entertaining fake-out, announces Uncharted: The Lost Legacy

Naughty Dog kicked off this morning’s PlayStation Experience showcase with a six minute cold open that had the crowd convinced they were watching a hijab-clad Lara Croft, right up to the moment she revealed her true identity.

The video features a mystery woman hidden behind a hijab stealthily moving through a city occupied by military forces. She moves through several areas before heading to a nearby rooftop to meet her contact. It is only then that Naughty Dog play their hand and reveal the mystery woman is Uncharted series regular Chloe Frazier. Not only that, but her contact was Uncharted 4‘s Nadine Ross.

While not much more is known about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Naughty Dog says that the game represents a stand-alone chapter in the Uncharted story. We’re keen to know more. No word on whether series hero Nathan Drake will show up, but we wouldn’t be mad about it if he sat this one out.
