Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Liquid confirmed for IEM Sydney 2019

Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2019 is a mere two months away. Boasting a $250,000 prize pool, IEM Sydney is Australia’s premiere esports tournament, attracting some of the biggest names in competitive gaming from here at home and around the world.
To date, a total of five teams have been invited to compete in this year’s competition. The latest to receive their invites are the renowned Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas (or NiP). NiP’s appearance is notable, marking their first entry into an Australian tournament. All five invited teams have claimed big-money wins in the past. As a result, this year’s event promises even higher stakes than either of its previous two iterations.
For returning fans, 2018 champs FaZe Clan will be back to defend their title and, based on the lineup so far, they may have their work cut out for them.
IEM Sydney 2019 goes down May 3-5 at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. Tickets are available through Ticketek and start at $45 AUD for a single day pass.
