Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is real, arrives June 29

Following a trailer leak yesterday, WB Games have officially revealed the game we all assumed was coming. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens will bring Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron to consoles when it releases June 29 .

The Force Awakens will mark TT Games’ first return to the Lego Star Wars franchise since Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars in 2011. The game will introduce a number of brand new gameplay features for the series including multi-builds which allow players to choose from a number of constructs to advance the story, new Blaster Battles and space dogfights.

The big draw, in addition to the content based on the new film, will be the inclusion of brand new stories set in the period between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Currently there are a number of comics and novels filling in the 30-year blank and it would be very cool to see TT Games draw on the new canon for this.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Windows PC.
