Hold your horses: Red Dead Redemption 2 delayed into October

Red Dead Redemption 2 will miss its Q2 2018 release window, according to a new blog post from developer Rockstar Games, who cites wanting more time to polish the game ahead of launch. There is a silver lining though.
The silver lining is that we’ve finally got a confirmed release date — October 26, 2018.

“We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay,” reads Rockstar’s newswire post. “While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish. We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. … We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks.”

To ease the sting of the delay a little, Rockstar dropped a handful of brand new screenshots and you can browse the gallery above.

Red Dead Redemption 2 drops October 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
