Gotta go fast: The Crew 2 closed beta kicks off May 31

After being delayed earlier in the year, The Crew 2‘s release date now creeps ever closer which means its time to start those good, good server stress tests. That means a chance to play a little bit of the game early starting on May 31 when The Crew 2‘s closed beta officially opens.

Signups for the beta are now open via the  game’s official website and Ubi will be picking a select number of players to jump into the closed beta. The beta itself will run from 6pm AEST on May 31 to 6pm AEST on June 4.

As for what you can expect to see should you get in, Ubi says the beta will include the first level of progression with four race types across Street Race, Rally Raid, Powerboat and Aerobatics. This means you’ll be able to zoom around The Crew 2‘s rebuilt map of the US in a car, boat or plane as you choose. You’ll also be able to jump between vehicles by using the Fast-Fav feature, activated depending on your nearby environment. The example Ubi provides is flying under the Golden Gate Bridge in a plane and turning into a boat, presumably like a Transformer (you’ll probably just respawn in a boat, the vehicles are cool but we doubt they’re Shape Shifting Alien Robot cool).

The Crew 2 launches worldwide on June 29, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Dont’ feel too bad if you don’t get into the closed beta, we’re sure Ubi will announce an open beta before too long.
