Final Fantasy Type-0 HD arrives on PC August 18

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will make its way to PC via Steam starting August 18 according an announcement by Square Enix earlier today.A current-gen remake of the 2011 Japan-only PSP title, the game presents a much darker take on the venerable RPG series. It centres on a group of school students who are caught up in a massive war

The PC version will feature a few upgrades over its console-bound cousins with an improved battle camera and Steam achievements, trading cards and controller support, chararacter speed boosts and more. If you pre-order via Steam right now, you’ll get 10% straight off the top, a special Type-0 HD loading screen and a Master Chocobo courier and Class Zero Moogle as a ward in Dota 2.

“Developing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for Steam gave us the opportunity to fully realize our original vision of the game in an enhanced and refined experience exclusively for PC players,” director Hajime Tabata said in the press release.
