E3 2018: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gets its first major trailer at Ubisoft’s E3 press brief

If you were a fan and Assassin’s Creed Origins, and who wasn’t really, you’re going to be very happy about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The game’s E3 trailer confirms its Ancient Greek setting, the return of naval combat and more.

Ubisoft are very keen to play up the game’s RPG aspect, starting with the new choice of a male or female character. Choosing Alexios or Kassandra will select them as your avatar for the duration of the game.

Further, the game is introducing multi-pronged dialogue options, though how deeply these go is still a bit of a mystery. It certainly tracks given how much of an influence The Witcher 3 had on Origins.

The extended gameplay trailer revealed during the Odyssey presentation shows similar combat to Origins, a similar level up system, a more traditional 3-column skill tree and a beautiful Grecian island landscape.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
