E3 2016: FIFA 17 getting Creed-esque story mode

FIFA 17 is set to introduce a complete story-based singleplayer mode according to a trailer released at the EA Play press conference ahead of E3 2016. Dubbed “The Journey”, the mode will take players through all of the trials and tribulations that come with being a Premier League footballer.

The YouTube embed of the trailer states that “The Journey” will be filled with real-life managers and players, all of whom will play themselves, as protagonist Alex Hunter attempts to make his way up through the ranks of the Premier League, keen to play for any club that will take him.

The last time an EA Sports title included a story mode was in Fight Night Champion back in 2011.
