BlizzCon 2015: New Hearthstone expansion, League of Explorers, drops next week

Blizzard have announced the newest adventure expansion for for their free-to-play online CCG Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Called League of Explorers, it’s a single-player campaign that will send players into “ancient temples fulled with relics, treasures and traps.”

The League of Explorers themselves are made up of four Warcraft characters: Brann Bronzebeard, Reno Jackson, Elise Starseeker and Sir Finley Murgleton (a murloc who has learned to speak). Together, they will will go on an adventure to find and collected parts of an artifact called the Staff of Origination.

The staff’s component parts are spread around the Warcraft universe – Stranglethorn Jungle, the Temple of Osiris and Uldaman. From there, you’ll head to the Hall of Explorers in Ironforge and duke it out with evil archaeologist Rafaam.

League of Explorers will launch Thursday, November 12 on PC, Mac and iOS.
