Aussie Game Armello coming to Nintendo Switch in Late September

In exciting news for fans of the game, it has been announced that the critically acclaimed Aussie game Armello will be coming to Nintendo Switch in late September. Let’s have a look at the announcement trailer.

Armello received wide-ranging support in 2015, sweeping up indie awards left right and centre. It’s Aussie born, by Melbourne team League of Geeks, who have released the title on PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4, iOS and Android previously. Since the 2015 release, League of Geeks have released 4 DLC’s for the title – they’ve been hard at work.

It’s got a quite cute aesthetic to it, that couples to its gameplay. It’s a table-top turned based strategy about warring factions – except they’re all animals, and all have unique traits. If you’re a fan of Civilisation or conquest-based titles, and  dig a unique aesthetic, then this is a game for you.

League of Geeks also received funding from the Victorian Government to create a game featuring “a collection of strong women characters”. We can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for us – Australia’s Indie scene is something to be admired.

If you’re over the moon and would like to get amongst the Armello for Switch excitement early, you can pre-order from the Nintendo eShop. The standard edition is $19.99 USD or $39.99 USD for the collectors edition.

The game will release on Switch on September 27th.
