Avenue Q hits Melbourne this August for a limited time only

Award-winning Broadway musical Avenue Q will be making a return to Australia, hiting the stage at Melbourne’s Her Majesty’s Theatre for a strictly limited season from 3rd August of this year. The hilarious longtime running musical directed by Peter J Snee takes audiences on a journey into the world of vulgar and down-right outrageous puppets rubbing shoulders with humans, a story which has helped the production win the coveted Tony Triple Crown for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book

The production follows the story of Princeton, an ambitious college graduate navigating his way through Avenue Q, the multicultural neighbourhood in New York City, featuring grown up puppets dabbling in debauchery and vulgarity. Avenue Q explores the puppet’s attempts at adult life and the challenges they face including failed childhood stardom, sexual congress and binge drinking. Expect full puppet nudity.

The season will run from Wednesday 3rd to Wednesday 14th August, with playing times scheduled for Tuesday 7:30pm; Wednesday 7:30pm; and Thursday 8pm; Friday 8pm; Saturday 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday 3pm. Ticket prices will be set at $59-$110 (standard) and $59-$100 (concession). For more information and ticket purchases visit: www.hmt.com.au/avenue-q.
