Laneway Festival has announced its final round of sideshows for 2027, with Kim Petras, ADÉLA, Danny L Harle, Gurriers, Florence Road and more set to play headline dates across Sydney and Melbourne next February.
Presented by Handsome Tours and Laneway Presents, the announcement follows the Adelaide and Perth shows revealed in September and gives fans another opportunity to catch some of the festival’s international talent in more intimate settings.
Again, this is a brilliant reminder about what we love so much about Irish music. Gurriers will bring their ferocious live show to Sydney’s Factory Theatre and Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, while fellow Dublin outfit Bleech 9:3 make their Australian debut. We caught Bleech 9:3 at The Great Escape in Brighton earlier this year, and can’t wait to see them again. Rising Irish rockers Florence Road will also play two headline shows after a remarkable breakout year.
Pop fans are equally well catered for, with Grammy-winning Kim Petras heading to the Enmore Theatre and Forum, while ADÉLA brings her energetic, dance-driven performances to the same two cities. British singer-songwriter Rachel Chinouriri will also perform headline shows, following the announcement of her second album, I think I spoke too soon. I saw her supporting Wolf Alice in London a few months ago – and she was brilliant. Warm-hearted and a fabulous performer.
There’s plenty for fans of electronic music too, with Danny L Harle, co-founder of PC Music, bringing his euphoric, high-energy sound to Sydney and Melbourne in support of his new album Cerulean. Berlin’s wonderfully eccentric horsegiirL also returns, while Jane Remover, Tiffany Day and rommulas each offer their own adventurous take on hyperpop and experimental electronic music.
Rounding out the announcement is Violet Grohl, whose blend of alternative rock, sludge and noise-pop promises to be another intriguing addition to the sideshow calendar.
With most shows taking place in smaller venues, these headline dates offer a different experience from the festival stages, and several are likely to be hot tickets.
