The hints had been coming. Fontaines D.C. and Hayley Williams were looking increasingly likely to be sitting at the top of the Laneway Festival 2027 bill, and now we know for sure.
They most definitely are.
Laneway Festival has unveiled its 2027 lineup, with Fontaines D.C. and “The Hayley Williams Show” leading a bill that also includes Slayyyter, ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA, Ninajirachi, Rico Nasty, DIIV, Rachel Chinouriri, Gurriers, Ecca Vandal and plenty more.
Twenty-two years in and Laneway is still doing what it does best: mixing genuinely huge names with artists who might just become your next obsession.
And Fontaines D.C.? We’re very happy about this one.
The Dublin band have long been favourites of ours, and they return to Laneway for the first time in four years with an extended headline set. A lot has happened in that time. Arena tours. Reading and Leeds. Two Grammy nominations. Back-to-back BRIT Awards. They’re now operating on an altogether different scale.
They’ll arrive in Australia with new music too, with their highly anticipated fifth album Dopamine Chamber on the way and new tracks set to feature in the Laneway set. We added the lead single, “Marianne”, to our Discovery Playlist recently – it’s a belter.
For Hayley Williams, Laneway 2027 marks her first Australian festival appearances as a solo performer. Her intimate headline dates at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre and Melbourne’s Forum Theatre disappeared almost immediately, meaning “The Hayley Williams Show” at Laneway will be the only other opportunity for Australian fans to catch her this time around. Expect an extended set drawing from her solo catalogue, including Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.
Then there’s the rest of the bill. And there’s a lot to get excited about.
Slayyyter returns to Australia following a huge year that has included Coachella and the Reading and Leeds main stage, while ADÉLA, Kim Petras, MUNA and Rachel Chinouriri make for a seriously strong pop contingent.
Electronic fans are hardly being neglected either. Ninajirachi makes the leap from interstitial DJ at Laneway 2025 to headlining the Everything Ecstatic Stage in 2027, alongside HorsegiirL, Danny L Harle, Daine, Jane Remover, Rommulas and Tiffany Day.
Elsewhere, Rico Nasty makes her Laneway debut, DIIV return after more than a decade, and Automatic, Balu Brigada, Violet Grohl, Bleech 9:3 and Florence Road join the bill.
And yes, Gurriers are coming too. Having caught the Irish outfit twice recently, we already know just how good they are live. Put them firmly on the “do not miss” list. Speaking of ‘do not miss’ – Bleech 9:3 are firmly in that list as well. We caught them at The Great Escape in Brighton earlier this year, and they blew us away. They will be a highlight.
