With the weather warming up and the days getting longer, there’s no better reason to be outside in February and March 2027 than for Sydney Summertime.
From the minds at Secret Sounds and Live Nation, Sydney Summertime is a new outdoor concert series launching at Sydney’s Centennial Park this coming summer.
Announced as the first headliner for the series is The Strokes, who will be bringing their Reality Awaits tour to our shores. Playing in Sydney on Saturday 20 February alongside a selection of other headline shows by the band (including Brisbane and Melbourne), these shows look to be something special for long time fans of the New York natives. Supported by Beck, Courtney Barnett and Promiseland in Sydney, if this is the quality and depth of the shows to be expected from Sydney Summertime, then we’re all in for a red hot end to summer.

Promising to offer something a little bit different from your regular festival or concert series, Sydney Summertime plans to combine world-class live music with a range of ticket experiences, as well as a food and beverage offering showcasing some of Sydney’s best restaurants, bars, food trucks and cellar doors, all set against the backdrop of one of Sydney’s biggest and best parks.
With more headline shows from international and domestic artists to be announced over the coming weeks, the addition of Sydney Summertime to the Australian musical landscape this summer looks like it may go some way to filling the gaps of our once super busy summer festival circuit.
Tickets for The Strokes’ Reality Awaits headline show at Sydney Summertime go on general sale at 1pm AEST on Tuesday 29 September via Moshtix, with presales commencing Monday, 28 September.
