Aria Award-winning Australian R&B sensation BOY SODA announces SOULSTAR Deluxe LP

Fresh off a sold-out run that lit up Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, and riding the momentum of his acclaimed debut record SOULSTAR, BOY SODA isn’t slowing down. The ARIA-winning artist has announced SOULSTAR Deluxe, landing June 19, with five brand new tracks set to expand the world he’s been building. First taste? The hypnotic new single “Chase Your Tail”, out now via Warner Music Australia after its triple j First Play debut.

At its core, “Chase Your Tail” taps into something uncomfortably familiar – the patterns we fall into and the lessons we somehow keep missing. As BOY SODA puts it, it’s about “the loops and cycles we find ourselves in… everyone is chasing a dragon’s tail in some form.” It’s introspective, but never heavy-handed – instead, it grooves its way through those ideas with the kind of smooth, self-aware energy that’s becoming his signature. The track also marks a long-awaited collaboration with MXXWLL, a pairing that feels as natural as it is overdue.

The deluxe release isn’t just an add-on – it’s an extension of a project that’s already made serious waves. Since dropping in October 2025, SOULSTAR has clocked over 14 million streams and positioned BOY SODA as one of the most exciting voices in Australia’s soul and R&B scene. Tracks like “Never The Same,” “Blink Twice,” “4K” (featuring Dean Brady), and the breakout hit “Lil Obsession” – now nearing 8.1 million streams – have showcased an artist with a clear sonic identity and the confidence to push it further.

That momentum has carried well beyond home soil. A recent trip to Los Angeles saw him linking up with platforms like Garden Sessions and On The Radar, while also signing with United Talent Agency – joining a roster that includes heavyweights like Jamiroquai and The Kid LAROI. It’s a clear signal that BOY SODA’s reach is only getting bigger.

And then there’s the ARIA win – Best Soul/R&B Release – a milestone moment that not only recognised his work, but cemented his arrival. His performance on the night, sharing the stage with fellow nominees, only reinforced what fans already knew: this is an artist who knows exactly who he is, and how to bring people into his world.

With more music, more shows, and a growing international presence, 2026 is shaping up to be a defining year.
