Catch Fish and Chips makes a splash at Westfield Chermside in Brisbane

A new name is reeling in the good stuff at Westfield Chermside this November, as Catch Fish and Chips has officially opened its doors!

Bringing a fresh take on the classic Aussie fish and chip shop, Catch Fish and Chips is all about simple, feel-good food done right – fast, fuss-free, and full of coastal flavour. Guests can expect golden calamari rings, juicy prawn rolls, perfectly salted chips, and freshly grilled fish, all served with a side of surfside charm that feels instantly familiar.

Its arrival marks a new era for the humble fish and chipper, combining nostalgic comfort with a bright, modern twist. The venue is casual, welcoming, and made for every occasion – whether it’s a quick lunch, a relaxed family dinner, or a salty snack between shops.

“Catch Fish and Chips is inspired by the Aussie tradition of enjoying good fish and chips by the beach. We wanted to bring that same warmth and simplicity to the heart of the city,” said Frank Tucker, CEO of Hunter St. Hospitality, the group behind Catch Fish and Chips. “Chermside felt like the perfect place to launch – bringing a touch of coastal charm to a busy urban centre and creating something fun for the local community. And we aim for more Catch Fish and Chips to come.”

Located next to The Bavarian at Westfield Chermside, Catch Fish and Chips will serve a full range of seafood favourites, from NZ Hoki, grilled salmon and barramundi to signature burgers, loaded catch bowls, and classic sides. There’s even a “Little Nippers” section for kids and the famous Deep Fried Mars Bar for those chasing a sweet finish.

Catch Fish and Chips will be open from 11:30am-9pm Monday to Friday, 11am-9:30pm on Saturday and 11:30am-8:30pm on Sunday, with no bookings required. For more information and an extensive look at their menu, head to the official site here.
