Exclusive Video Premiere: Bryan Estepa “Version of Me” (2025)

Bryan Estepa

Last month Sydney songwriter and musician Bryan Estepa released “Version of Me”, his first single from his upcoming 2025 album. It’s imbued with a beautiful warm melody, his honey-dew vocals and precision guitars washing over the listener with an upbeat summer-will-never-end vibe. We’re thrilled to be premiering the video for the track today, ahead of its release later in the week.

Bryan has had help in the funding of the album via a crowdfunding campaign. These were in vogue a decade or so ago, and it’s testament to the love and respect for the musician that so many fans have supported him on this album. Listening to this track, they have invested wisely. “Version of Me” was produced, mixed and recorded by JJ Extremera at Little Momo Studios in Barcelona.

The video clip was directed by filmmaker Sebastian Alvarez (Thandi Phoenix, 5 Seconds of Summer, Thelma Plum), who explains that he wanted the clip to feel chill, engaging, and fun while toying with Bryan’s version of himself. Bryan’s lyrics reminded me of the moments of building yourself up after something pretty hard: could be a break-up, could be a loss, etc. – and the process of discovering yourself after the fact, even the multiple versions of yourself. I wanted to use the moment of that reconnect with nature, and discovery of yourself within a natural space, and thread it through with other gorgeous natural imagery as the song chugs along,” says Alvarez. “It then gave this refreshing and engaging feel, to make you want to rush out to a room with a view!”

There’s no doubt that he has achieved that goal. The Australian coastline, national parks and seaside featured on this video are stunning.

I See It Now from Bryan Estepa will be released on the 6th of June. CD’s, vinyl and digital downloads will be available. You can pre-save / order the album HERE.
